Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
Devise sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instuctions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
Establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
Develop and implement procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
Implement and monitor SPC activity as required by the customer and Engineering Specification testing.
Monitor product and process activities daily for corrective action and continuous improvement.
Maintenance of problem description reports and implement containment and corrective actions.
Responsible for submission approval of PPAP documents to appropriate personnel.
Work with suppliers on non-conforming material.
Coordinate and run PTR/ETR trials.
Coordinate and lead line improvement team to review quality issues.
Monitor new product launches for concerns and implement preventive actions.
TS16949 procedures application and knowledge.
Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
Verify implementation of solutions.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Follow ISO14001 and TS16949 procedures/processes.
Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by ensuring that quality policies, procedures, and processes are followed.
It is the responsibility of the Quality Engineer to take appropriate action and to effectively communicate where necessary and observations which may impact AA LLC’s ability to manufacture a quality product and to achieve an on time delivery.  Individual actions which should be taken into account are as follows:
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformances related to product, process and quality systems.
Identify and record any problems related to the product, process and quality system.
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
Verify implementation of solutions.
Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 
Bachelor’s degree (B.S. /B.A.); two or more year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distributions, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory.
 REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
