SUMMARY:
This position will be part of the materials aspect of the business and directly interface with the entire material department and external suppliers and all other departments as needed. The Materials Scheduler is part of the Materials department and reports to the Materials Manager.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Load and analyze customer demand and advise management of possible risks.
  • Organize and maintain materials department files on paper and in the system.
  • Contact vendors concerning material related issues.
  • Complete cycle count process as outlined by the Materials Manager.
  • Report monthly measurables.
  • Track inbound shipments.
  • Provide work instructions to the Materials Specialists and Material Handlers.
  • Review inventory levels to assure material availability.
  • Pull, verify, and report GM production requirements.
  • Assist with the processing of defective material, returns, scrap, and miscellaneous inventory adjustments and printing related reports.
  • Interface with material systems for maintenance.
  • CUM reconciliation with the customer and suppliers.
  • Maintain listing of current supplier and customer contacts.
  • Notify the Materials Manager, Plant Manager, Production Manager and other appropriate personnel of any materials issues that may negatively impact the line or the customer.
  • Follow ISO14001and TS16949 procedures/processes.
  • Actively participate in self-directed work team model.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Participate in plant recycling programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Contribute to achievement of quality/management objectives by ensuring that raw materials are ordered and delivered to the facility in a timely manner.
  • Maintain plant Plan For Every Part (PFEP).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Associates degree (AA/AS); one plus year’s related experience and/or training
