Job Description

The Hourly Maintenance Technician personnel repair and maintain equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and automation equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Observe mechanical devices in operation and diagnose malfunctions.
Dismantle mechanical devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Make approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs.
Repair or replace defective parts.
Lubricate and clean parts.
Start devices to test their performance.
Set up and operate drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Maintain, install, and repair electrical equipment.
Keep accurate preventative maintenance records and insures that all revisions to equipment and tools are properly recorded.
Install new machinery and equipment.
Lockout/tag out.
Fabricate approved fixturing for production use.
Pipe fitting.
Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Consistently comply with personal protective equipment requirements.
It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Technician to take appropriate action and to effectively communicate where necessary any observations which may impact AA LLC’s ability to manufacture a quality product and to achieve an on time delivery. 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and knowledge of and experience with electrical processes, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, pipe fitting and blueprints.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to follow written and verbal instruction (ex. Engineering specifications and/or drawings).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift and hi-lo picker license.
