Job Description
The IT Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, performing, and\or directing the execution of assigned tasks related to IT Operations, IT Support Requests, and IT Projects at both the Detroit facilities on Nevada & Davison.
Job Responsibilities – Applies to both Detroit Nevada &/or Detroit Davison facilities
  • Review and organize all SOX documentation.
  • Oversee operations and processes relating to mission critical systems.
  • Review IT\Production\Eng Shift logs – work to eliminate reoccurring issues.
  • Escalated troubleshooting\root cause analysis of unresolved support request.
  • Assist with purchasing of all needed IT equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain serviceability of deployed equipment.
  • Maintain ready to deploy equipment – scanners (symbol & SICK), cables, thin clients, touch screens, badge readers, UPS, SENA, and Zebra printers.
  • Ensure IT areas cleanliness & organization.
  • Coordinate IT Support Schedule - Cover IT Specialist shifts as needed.
  • Coordinate\Complete assigned IT Projects for both facilities.
  • Coordinate\Implement LPS change request.
  • Performs as back-up for Plant IT Manager as needed.

  • AS400 Administration\Operations.
  • Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Windows XP and Windows 7.
  • Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012.
  • Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Virtualization (VMware a plus).
  • LAN Network Support and troubleshooting.
  • Hardware / software support and troubleshooting.
  • Backup & Restore – ArcServer & Avamar.
  • Printer Support – HP, Ricoh, Zebra.
  • Scanner Support – Motorola Symbol, wired & wireless, 1D & 2D.
  • IT Compliance – Sarbanes-Oxley & ITPM.
  • Problem Solving Skills - Ability to independently research, evaluate and resolve IT problems
  • Excellent people skills, including good verbal (Telephone, Radio) and written (Email, Reporting) communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision; reliable work habits; must be self-starting and be able to use time efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide high level of customer focused, quality of service support.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Project management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS degree in a related area or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years’ work experience in IT support position preferably manufacturing.
  • 1-3 years supervision experience in an IT operation.
