POSITION:     Financial Analyst
TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Plant Controller/Assistant Controller
TITLE OF EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED: None
SUMMARY OF POSITION:  Responsible multiple plant accounts payable and payroll reporting functions 
 
TASKS:
1.
Responsible for monitoring the accounts receivable activity for 3 reporting entities.
2.
Responsible for updating selling prices, including all CBR (Component Based Release) pricing for the Ford business.
3.
Will monitor and analyze all payment discrepancies (pricing, retros, quantity, quality chargebacks, etc.)
4.
Will be responsible for maintaining the monthly directed supplier accrual. Will need to work with the Division Commercial Team and Corporate Purchasing to resolve all pricing issues.
5.
Responsible for maintaining the Fixed Asset activity for 3 reporting entities. This will include tracking spending vs approved capital projects, monitoring the project to ensure assets are placed in service on time.
6.
Will be responsible for maintaining each plant’s capital activity via the fixed asset software (FAS).   The FAS software calculates the monthly depreciation and has the data for each asset in the plant.
7.
Will perform weekly freight audits to ensure invoices are billed accurately.
8.
Will download the bill of material (BOM) data to be used for the directed supplier accrual and will be used to calculate the plants sales and material costs.
9.
Will be a key member of the month-end close process. Responsible for various journal entries and account reconciliations.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Reconcile intercompany sales and book corresponding journal entries
  • Analyze and create the month-end accounts receivable and payment discrepancy entries.
  • Process all fixed asset journal entries
  • Maintain the directed supplier accrual, book adjustments as necessary
  • Complete account reconciliations
10.
Work with the Material Department to complete Bill of Material (BOM) audits.
11.
Complete quarterly Sox testing requirements and report results to Plant Controller
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Four year accounting degree or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Good Excel skills – VWALK, Pivot Tables
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customer
